   A few days ago I was listening to a song by U2 and a part of it grabbed my attention. It said, “We are one, but we are not the same. We get to carry each other...” That made me think of....(full story)

In Steve Veazey's recent address to Community of Christ he and the First Presidency committed to meet with young adults around the globe.  They want to meet and listen with young adults to hear our needs, hopes, and vision for CofChrist.

Peace and Justice Survey

This summer we surveyed CofChrist young adults about our opinions of Peace and Justice ministry in Community of Christ.
MANY of you responded!  This says a lot about how important Peace and Justice is to young adults. 
Erica (YA Ministry Specialist) presented the survey results at CofChrist Peacemakers' Summit on Sept. 21.  Church leaders were energized by your voice!  The survey is still open to take.

2009 Intl. Peace Award Recipient:
Dr. Halima Bashir, 29, was a medical doctor in Darfur who provided care for soldiers and civilians on both sides of the conflict in her country. She treated and tried to console schoolchildren who had been repeatedly raped. When she spoke out against this abuse she was abducted and gang-raped for three days. She saw her village destroyed and her father murdered by the Janjaweed. Halima has continued to speak out for women and children in Darfur. She is the second Muslim and the eighth woman to receive this award since its beginning in 1993.
